Do I have to be fit/flexible to participate?
No. Classes are designed to aid fitness, improve strength, stamina, stability as well as flexibility. Iyengar Yoga teachers are trained to handle many levels of physical capacity. Inform your teacher before class of any injury or health condition that may impact your practice.
What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient system that teaches an individual to reach the highest potential from within oneʼs self.
How should I prepare for classes?
Refrain from eating 2 hours before class. Wear comfortable clothes, no baggy clothes that prevent the teacher from observing the position of your body. Yoga is a barefoot practice. No perfumes or scents, please.
