Yoga and Hyperextension of the Knee

Do you feel a strain on your knees while you do your asanas (yoga poses)? Does the tightness and pulling your leg stop you from staying in yoga poses or reaching your full potential in your asanas?
Chances are you are hyperextending while doing your yoga poses. Come and learn how to stop hyperextension and how you should practice so you could improve your poses that you can reduce your hyperextension.

Nuvana Zarthoshtimanesh started studying yoga at the age of 5 and is a certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor at the Intermediate Junior I level. Being brought up in India, she was blessed to receive training directly from the Iyengar’s in Pune and has been teaching yoga in India since 1998. She has experienced the benefits of yoga herself and teaches with deep understanding. She has also taught 6 years of therapeutic yoga before moving to Portland. Her teaching style is clear, youthful, direct and compassionate.
