Join us for this Postpartum Yoga workshop with Sunset Yoga Center teacher Sally Hoesing, RN.
New mothers often find conflict when trying to find a moment for themselves; but need time to restore mentally, emotionally and physically. Yoga is here to help! This 2-hour postpartum workshop will offer poses to relieve the “mama posture” (one of a collapsed chest), rediscover your pelvic floor, understand diastasis recti and discuss postpartum depression. Come together to share yoga and the experience of motherhood with your fellow moms!
This workshop is open to women through the first year of the postpartum period. Please allow 6 weeks following a vaginal delivery and 8 weeks after a cesarean birth, along with your primary care providers approval, before registering.

Sally Hoesing Sally holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a degree in Nursing. She incorporates her experience as a Labor & Delivery RN into her prenatal classes and adventures as a mama to influence her love for supporting postpartum mothers.Sally began studying Iyengar yoga in 2000. She has completed a Teacher Training course with Julie Lawrence and is currently working toward Iyengar Certification. She recently passed her Intro I Iyengar Yoga assessment. She regularly takes two classes per week with her teachers, Julie Gudmestad and Julie Lawrence, as well as regularly studying with Senior certified instructors. Iyengar yoga focuses on correct alignment, which helps bring balance to the body, both physically and intellectually.
