Mindfulness Class with Gabe Fields
Saturday April 9th
Sunset Yoga Center is pleased to welcome back Gabe Fields to teach a mindfulness class for beginners and experienced meditators alike. Come learn, re-learn, and re-fresh your experience of the basics of mindfulness meditation practice. In this 3-hour workshop, we will investigate what mindfulness is and isn’t through didactic, guided exercises, and discussion. The aim of this workshop is to provide a clear presentation of mindfulness practice which dispels common misperceptions and gives participants a toolkit for connecting with vital presence of mind – both on and off the meditation cushion. In addition to sitting meditation, we will explore the experience of “meditation in action” though mindfulness and sensory awareness of basic life activities like walking, eating, and relating to others. All are welcome.
When: Saturday afternoon, April 9th from 1-4 pm.
Where: Sunset Yoga Center, 12923 NW Cornell Road #203
Fees: Suggested donation of $50, sliding scale available. Please register online and bring donations with you to the yoga center, no payment is needed to register.
