180 Hour Iyengar Yoga Teacher Education Program
With Nina Pileggi, Intermediate Junior III Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor
Starting February 2017
Join a small group for a focused and life transforming Iyengar Yoga Teacher Education Program. The program is appropriate for those who wish to start teaching, those already teaching and for students who wish to deepen their knowledge and commitment to yogic practice.
This Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training Program will prepare you to teach Iyengar Yoga and for Iyengar Yoga Assessment. Completion of this program will meet the requirements to be eligible for Iyengar Yoga assessment leading to Introductory certification. Students interested in completing a mentorship with Nina can apply for that program as well.
The teacher training program will meet 14 weekends from February 2017 to March 2018.
The teacher training program is based on the Iyengar Yoga Introductory I/II syllabus and will cover:
Iyengar Yoga – lineage, tradition, organizations, writings and resources
Asana Practice and Knowledge
Pranayama Practice and Knowledge
Demonstration and Teaching Skills
Observation and Correction Skills
Anatomy and Physiology
The Art of Teaching
How to work with common problems/issues
Schedule details will be posted soon. The first weekend will be February 2017. The tentative schedule is as follwos
Saturday 11:00am – 5pm
Sunday noon – 4pm
At least one year weekly classes with a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher or equivalent.
Co-requirements: Ongoing weekly class attendance with a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher (if available). If there is no teacher available in your area, other arrangements are possible. Commitment to the Iyengar Yoga method.
A list of required texts will be provided upon acceptance into the program.

Nina Pileggi is certified at the Intermediate Junior III level and will complete her fourth trip to India to study with the Iyengar family in January 2017. Nina has been teaching Iyengar Yoga for over 17 years. Her teaching style is supportive and direct. She is currently enrolled in a three-year Therapeutic Teacher Training with Manouso Manos and continues to study with senior teachers, including Neeta Datta and Rebecca Lerner. Nina has successfully mentored many teachers to become certified Iyengar Yoga instructors.

Once accepted into the program a $300 non refundable deposit (due by January 15) secures your spot. The cost is $2,750 due by the first meeting in February 2017. Installments allowed upon agreement. Scholarships are available upon availability and approval. This fee does not include asana classes or required texts.
